History of Mathias Bjørge AS

Mathias Bjørge AS is a traditional producer of seafood from Norway. Our specialities are salted/dried fish and Red King crab.

Our main office is located on Ellingsøy on the west coast of Norway. Our production plants are located on Ellingsøy.

Mathias Bjørge and Karl Bjørge established the company in 1962. During these years the company has worked hard to achieve a high quality standard for our products.

Our products excellent quality is a result of years of production experience achieved trough several generations.

The clean and cold environment in Norway provides the best seafood in the world.

In 1998 Mathias Bjørge AS established an export/import department. This department is responsible for sales of our finished products and purchases of raw materials for our production. This department has also established relationships with suppliers of different salted and frozen products for direct sales to our customers.

In the future we will continue to build a strong organisation with focus on quality both as a producer and as a direct importer/exporter.
